The renaissance of oak is continuing – from multi-use segments. For up-market demands in particular, BOEN will launch the new oak boards on the market, in special sizes which will help you to realize elegant individual room solutions. Its name: Chalet. The high quality processed three-layer boards made up of a mixture of different lengths and widths are available. This produces fascinating geometries, resulting in a unique floor.

The Chalet oak boards are best suited for rooms from 40 sqm and upwards, only then do its outstanding sizes come into its own. With widths from 200 to 395 mm and lengths from 2 to 4 meters, the boards create an ambiance which is comparable to noble rooms of past centuries. This range of products is recommended for the high-quality private market as well as for installation in exclusive offices and formal reception areas.

At the launch, BOEN offers the new Chalet line with a choice of two surfaces: the classic transparent natural oiled oak planks (Traditional) and the antique stained (Antique) with a natural oiled surface.

In May 2008, three other surface treatments will follow: Honey (warm honey oiled), Cocoa (deep dark brown oiled) and Stonewashed old grey (brushed and colour-oiled). Also these types are finished with natural oil after installation.

BOEN did not forget about the installers in the course of this development. In order that the installation work doesn’t become a soul-destroying puzzle, the parquet is manufactured according to specifications based on a drawing of the room. This installation plan is delivered along with the parquet flooring. All boards are unambiguously marked on the rear side and assigned to a fixed position in the room with the help of the plan.

The most important criteria in developing the installation plan, is always to create complete harmony within the room. On the basis of the developed room solution, BOEN will then calculate with the least possible waste of materials. The advantage for the installator is that he can be sure of carrying out the job with optimum outcome, by placing his order with BOEN. In addition, he will leave a reliable competent mark with the customer.

The installation will also be easier for the craftsmen, due to the precise tongue/groove profile on the long side of the boards and the pre-milled groove with loose tongue on the short ends. So milling on-site is not necessary, making installation simple.

Interesting Points for the Customer: special individual wishes which favour a specific fixed size, instead of the recommended mixture of different lengths and widths of boards, can be taken into consideration. This will however, involve a longer delivery time.
