Ali Kemal Tümer: “We constantly search for new trends and innovations in the carpet industry.”

Tümer Carpet has been in the carpet business since 2000 and is currently located in Gaziantep. Always aiming for higher, Tümer Carpet is dedicated to manufacture high-quality prouducts with unique designs. Company owner Ali Kemal Tümer answered our editorial questions.

Could you tell us more about your company?

We started our company in 2000, here in Gaziantep and have been manufacturing carpets with our modern and computerized weaving looms since then. We export 100% of our production and would like to expand depending on the sector development.

Aside from our well-trained, experienced staff, we also have international dealers.

Could you tell about your products and what type of yarns you use?

Even though we sometimes change our raw materials according to demand, we generally use heat set, freeze and jute yarn as well as wool and polyester on the surface. These are the most popular carpets with the highest amounts of demand and that\'s why we manufacture them. Of course our constant search for innovation and new trends in the industry, sometimes makes us want to expand into different products. Currently we\'re working on couple different new products.

We\'ve have got a great design team and creativity is so obvious in our products which makes them all unique.

Which countries do you export to?

Saudi Arabia, Poland, South Africa, Israil, Germany, Belgium, Holland and U.S.A are among the countries that we export to. We manufacture a rich variety of products including Heatset, Freeze, Shaggy, Hand Carved and Polyester Shaggy. Our monthly capacity for production is 120,000 sq.m and we always look for new markets to explore.

What\'s your marketing strategy at the moment?

We believe continuity and stability are very important for marketing. Obviously as a trade company we work for profits but customer confidence and stability can be more important than anything else. We think of our dealers and customers as members of our family. Even though we follow marketing plans and strategies, most of the times rules can be changed in order to make someone who works with us happy.

What are your goals for 2009?

Our goal is to expand our company by integrating and also entering more markets with Tümer carpets. We would like to continue by taking safe steps and gaining success in the industry.
