From 16 to 19 January 2010 Deutsche Messe Hannover will stage Germany\'s first dedicated trade fair for ceramic tiles. Called fliesen/tiles, the show will take place once every two years in conjunction with DOMOTEX HANNOVER at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds. Fliesen/tiles is intended as a showcase for the German, European and worldwide tile industry, and as a future meeting place for tiling professionals mainly in Northern, Central, Western and Eastern Europe. \"There is currently no trade fair in Germany or neighboring countries which is devoted exclusively to ceramic tiles. fliesen/tiles gives tile manufacturers an ideal platform for presenting their high-quality product ranges and demonstrating their capabilities alongside their international competitors\", says Stephan Ph. Kühne, a member of the Board of Management at Deutsche Messe AG. \"When we talked to industry associations and manufacturers, they confirmed the need for a separate trade fair dedicated to ceramic tiles.\" Fliesen/tiles gives the industry an opportunity to find out quickly and easily - and at regular intervals - what is happening in the tile industry in terms of product choice, new products and developments.

As well as the German contingent of exhibitors, groups of companies from Italy, Spain, Turkey and Eastern Europe are expected to exhibit at the show.

The fact that the show takes place in parallel with DOMOTEX, the world\'s leading trade fair for the floor coverings industry, means that exhibitors benefit from significant synergies and visitor cross-over.
